The Culinary Challenge Teambuilding Program - it is such a unique teambuilding experience, and it adds a fun element to the standard “conference meeting agenda” that some companies have. It’s similar to something that you would see on the Food Network.
Let me tell you about it: the group is divided into teams, and each team is given a work station. At each station, our Chef’s have put out about 10 ingredients that the team must use entirely. The challenge is to make up a menu for one appetizer and one entree, and then prepare those items using all of the ingredients.
There is also a “pantry station” available to all teams so they can add what they need to make the perfect tasting dish. So it may be easy to write “Poached salmon with artichoke hearts” on the menu – but then to have to make it so it’s edible is another thing! Interlaken Chefs then taste the items from each team and then give scores for creativity, taste, and presentation.
You know, I’m thinking I may wish to volunteer to be a judge, because if you’ve been reading my Blogs, I LOVE FOOD! Anyway, if you’d like to don an Interlaken apron and have your group be “culinaried challenge”, then give Kristy Barto, our Corporate Sales Manager, a call at 1-800-222-2909 ext 777 or send her an e-mail for an RFP at kristy@interlakeninn.com.
P.S. Licking of the fingers may lead to disqualification!!
