Marketing Assistant

Our client in London, ON is currently seeking a full-time Marketing Assistant on a contract basis. The Marketing Assistant is responsible for the general organization, correspondence, scheduling and administrative support for the Marketing and Sales team. This position is great for anyone looking for a challenging and rewarding role within a fast-paced and exciting environment.
 
Duties (may include and not limited to)
  • Coordinate marketing team’s schedules including travel arrangements, hotel bookings and minute-taking of meetings
  • Provide administrative assistance and follow-up for the Marketing and Sales team and occasionally to other departments
  • Answer phones and transcribe voicemail messages
  • Keep office organized; this includes file management
  • Researching industry trends and competitive information
  • Compile and record survey information
  • Developing presentations, proofreading, creating analytical spreadsheets, competitive price analysis
  • Assist with development of integrated marketing programs
  • Assist with research, development and monitoring of project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Assist with building sales programs and sales materials, website updates, and revenue programs
  • Prepare both electronic and physical mailings to go out
  • Edit, maintain and prepare flyers, brochures and other print material
  • Assist with event planning, set up and execution of events
  • Organize and execute presentations, and special projects
  • Other duties as required

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of a 2 year College Diploma (Business Administration - Marketing Diploma preferred)
  • At least 1-3 years’ experience in an administrative support role
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Market Research, (PR, Sales, Marketing, Communications, E-commerce or Community campaign may also be acceptable)
  • Data Management/Analysis, Sales, and Public Relations and Sales Training are an asset
  • Must have excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Adobe Software and/or Microsoft Publisher is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to work with limited, or no, supervision as well as part of a team
  • Must be bondable and authorized to work in Canada
Compensation $14-$16/hour; depending upon experience
